Wolfenwood Ltd was started in 2016 by Andrew Berry to distribute in the UK, the Forestry Tools of EDER Maschinenbau GmbH.
EDER started making their clever devices over 20 years ago in Wolfenbuttel, Germany and have been growing steadily ever since. The company now employs a considerable and skilled workforce and has a very well-equipped, modern factory.
Andrew first saw their products eight years ago at an exhibition in Hanover and immediately became a fan. His background of 35 years in the timber industry meant he could see their potential!
The name Wolfenwood came about because the business is just a mile or so from the Wolfen Hall Estate in the Bowland Fells of Lancashire. The "Woofus" estate includes craggy Wolf Fell where, Legend has it, the last wolf in England was slain! The fact that EDER are based in Wolfenbuttel, the best preserved, timber-framed town in Germany (and Andrew makes timber-framed buildings), sealed the matter!
